New Orleans Cruise Parking (Port of New Orleans)
Rates checked Oct 22, 2026 Official source: portnola.com
New Orleans has two cruise terminals side by side on the riverfront, near the French Quarter and the Warehouse District. Carnival sails from the Erato Street terminal and parks right on top of it. Norwegian and Royal Caribbean sail from Julia Street, and their port parking is a short shuttle ride away at 100 Poydras Street. The port charges flat totals by trip length, not a simple daily rate.

Getting there
- Driving: from I-10, take US-90 W (Exit 234A), then the Tchoupitoulas exit (11C), the last exit before the Crescent City Connection bridge. Turn right on Tchoupitoulas, left on Henderson, then left onto Port of New Orleans Place after the tracks. Don't use the Julia St or Poydras St entrances to Port of New Orleans Place. (portnola.com)
- From the airport (MSY): Norwegian lists the port at about 17 miles and 45 minutes, with taxis at about $35 for 1–2 passengers or $12 per person for 3 or more (rates subject to change). (ncl.com)
- Both terminals sit on the Riverfront streetcar line, about 5 minutes from the French Quarter. (portnola.com)
Tips
- Price your trip length against the port's table. A 7-day cruise is $180 flat at either port garage, so an off-site lot only saves money if its daily rate times your days comes in lower.
- Julia Street (Norwegian, Royal Caribbean) garage clearance is only 6' 6". Tall vans and lifted trucks should call Laz Parking first.
- The port's FAQ says space is limited and reservations are highly recommended.
- Luggage storage before or after your cruise: the port lists an operator at the terminal, (504) 471-0080.
