Port Canaveral has seven cruise terminals split between the north (A) side and the south (B) side of the harbor, each with its own garage or surface lots next door, so you park and walk with no shuttle. The port charges one flat daily rate at every terminal and does not take parking reservations. Seven major lines are based here: Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Disney, MSC, Princess, Celebrity and Norwegian.

Garages and lots open at 10 AM for embarking passengers; returning passengers can reach their vehicles anytime

Major credit cards only (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover). No cash.

Getting to the ship

None needed. Garages and lots sit next to each terminal; park and walk.

Patrolled 24 hours a day. Drop passengers and bags at the terminal first; porters take bags and parking staff direct drivers to the right facility. Refunds: call (321) 783-7831 and choose Cruise Parking (Monday to Friday) with your sailing date.

Veterans, RVs and special cases

Fee waived for certain disabled drivers and Florida DV plates

Disabled parking spaces are available at every terminal. The fee is waived only for vehicles with special equipment for a disabled person (ramps, lifts, hand or foot controls), vehicles displaying a Florida Toll Exemption Permit, or vehicles with a Florida Disabled Veteran (DV) license plate. Parking agents won't grant waivers for any other reason.

Off-site lots with a shuttle

Park Port Canaveral (Main Lot)

Rate: $14.95 a day booked in advance (operator says booking ahead saves $2 a day on the drive-up rate). Operator's 7-night example: $136.03, tax and port fee included.
Shuttle: Free air-conditioned shuttle for your whole party, about 5 minutes to the terminals, every 30 minutes; shuttles meet your ship from 8am on return
Details: Paved, gated lot. Arrivals 9:30am to 2:00pm on sailing days at the check-in time on your reservation. You park your own car and keep your keys. Vehicles 20 feet or longer pay the operator's oversized rate. Lift-equipped shuttle on request (call after booking).

Rate: $16 a day, or $12 a day on cruises of 9 days or more. Operator's 7-night example: $128.40, tax and port fee included.
Shuttle: Free shuttle for up to 5, departing 10:30am, 11:30am and 12:30pm on sailing days; about 15 minutes to the terminals
Details: Five-story covered garage about five miles from the port. Reserve by 11:59pm the night before. Vehicles up to seven feet tall. Arrive an hour before your shuttle.

Getting there

Driving: take SR-528 (Beachline, a toll road) east. Exit 54A for the A terminals (5, 6, 8 and 10); Exit 54B for the B terminals (1 and 3). (portcanaveral.com)
From the airports: Orlando International (MCO) is about 45 minutes west; Orlando Melbourne (MLB) is about 25 miles (40 minutes) south; Orlando Sanford (SFB) is about 1 hour northwest (port estimates). (portcanaveral.com)
Uber and Lyft operate at the port. Cocoa Beach Express is the port's official ground transportation concessionaire for on-demand vans, shuttles and buses. Many local hotels run their own port shuttles. (portcanaveral.com)

Tips

The port rate counts both your arrival and return days, so a 7-night cruise is 8 days at $20.00 plus tax.
There's no reservation system at the port garages. Just drive up; the port says there's plenty of parking at every terminal.
Don't arrive before 10 AM. The garages and lots don't open earlier for embarking passengers, and you should follow your cruise line's boarding time.
Bring a credit card. The port is cashless.
